The NextJobStep Tracker
Every application, tracked automatically, from a single pasted link.
Drop in a job posting URL and NextJobStep pulls the listing, adds it to your pipeline, and keeps its status current, applied, waiting, interview, offer, without a spreadsheet, a notes app, or a mental list you are trying not to lose.
FREE FOR INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS - NO CARD REQUIRED
Right now, most students are tracking applications with nothing at all
A spreadsheet that falls out of date within a week. A notes app entry that never gets updated. A gut feeling about who they have applied to, which is usually wrong by week three.
No record of what was sent, where, or when
Forgetting to follow up after an interview
Applying twice to the same role by accident
No idea which CV version went where
Fed up with tracking your job search in a spreadsheet?
If you are managing your applications in a spreadsheet, a notes app, or a dozen open tabs, you already know how fast it falls apart, columns you forget to update, tabs you lose track of, a CV version you cannot remember sending. NextJobStep replaces all of it. Every application, fully digital, tracked automatically from the moment you paste a link. Nothing to maintain, nothing to remember to update yourself.
Paste a link, the rest happens on its own
Every application moves through five clear stages, updated automatically as things move, not something a student has to remember to go back and edit.
- 01
Not yet applied
Saved for later, not forgotten
- 02
Applied
Logged the moment it is sent
- 03
Waiting for response
No guessing how long it has been
- 04
Interview scheduled
Details attached, not buried in email
- 05
Offer received
The outcome, recorded properly
Every major job board, tracked in the same place
Paste a link from any of these, and it lands in the same pipeline as everything else.

- Glassdoor
- IrishJobs
- Jobs.ie

One pipeline
Self Track
Listings land in the same five stages, whichever board they came from.
Preview of how boards collapse into one feed — not a live count.
The hard part is not applying once, it is applying every week
Most students start strong, ten applications in the first few days, then momentum quietly drops around week four. The Tracker shows the pattern before the search stalls completely.

Wk 5
Illustrative pattern of search energy over five weeks, not live student data.
What else the Tracker keeps organised
CVs and cover letters, filed per application
The right version attached to the right listing, automatically.
Match scoring on every listing
Skills and visa status checked against the role before you commit time to it.
Sponsorship history, right on the listing
Real permit data per employer, so effort goes where it is likely to count.
Status changes, not silence
A clear signal when something moves, instead of wondering if it ever will.
Add your profile once, share it anywhere with a single link
Fill in your profile once, education, skills, experience, and portfolio links, and NextJobStep turns it into a shareable "about you" page at one unique link. Send it to a recruiter, drop it in a cover letter, or put it in your email signature, instead of attaching a CV file that might already be out of date by the time someone opens it.
One profile, filled in once
Education, skills, experience, and portfolio links, all in one place.
A single link to share it
nextjobstep.com/u/yourname, always current, no attachment required.
For colleges: the same tracker, with a cohort-wide view
Under a College Partnership, this same tracking data rolls up into a dashboard for your careers team, engagement and outcomes across your whole student body, not just one student pipeline.
Common questions
Is the Tracker actually free?
Yes. Self Track, the individual version of the Tracker, is free with no card required. It is the same tracking engine used inside College Partnership, just without the cohort wide dashboard.
Does it work with any job board, or only specific ones?
Paste a link from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, IrishJobs, Jobs.ie, GradIreland, or most company career pages, and NextJobStep will pull the listing details automatically. If a link does not parse cleanly, you can still add it manually in seconds.
Do I have to update the status myself?
You can update it manually at any point, but the goal is that you should not have to. Status changes reflect what is actually happening as you move through the process.
Is my application data private?
Your individual application data is yours. Under a College Partnership, your institution sees aggregated engagement and outcome trends, not your private application by application activity.
What happens to the data if I stop using it?
Your tracked applications stay exactly as you left them. There is no penalty for a quiet week, and no data lost if you step away and come back later.
